Happiness is where you found it, not where others tell you it is

Before I was a janitor, I was a professional in white collar jobs. Back then, I felt tremendous pressure to live up to a certain respectable image. I had to always look good, say the "right" things, have a picture-perfect resume, and have all of the "right" answers to interview questions. I recall spending hours poring over interview books, rehearsing my answers. I so desperately wanted to come across as ambitious, aggressive, and teamplayerish.
